PORTUGAL - SPORT ONSIGHT BOULDERING - MALVERIA

POSITION: Just above the village of Malveria that is on the lower slopes of the Sintra Massif to the west of Lisbon. The blocs are very scattered and lie in two different sectors, difficult to find without a map or guidebook.

60 Blocs with all grades of problems. This is a low area and most of the problems are quite small. The rock is a beautiful golden colour and offers a lot for the lower grade boulderer. This is a low area and can get very hot indeed, ideal for winter.

We include a nice small selection of problems in the book, but do not extensively cover the area.

Nearby are the mountains of the Sintra offer other bouldering areas of good note, and on very different granite.
