OVERVIEW

This sector is all of the good weather cliffs away from the Alps. Most are low altitude, and get an excellent amount of sunshine. There as so many cliffs around Lac Bourget that this is purely a must go to selecton, and is well under half of what is on offer. Some ancien equipping, but most cliffs getting newer bolts and more sensible spacing. Some of the major cliffs such as Chambotte are truly giant, however, many of the other cliffs offer lots of routes in the lower grades, and are ideal for those quick week-end visits. A great area if you are rained on in the high Alps. Lakes are great for swimming too, they have been cleaned up beautifully over the years.
