ERIDGE GREEN ROCKS

2 miles S-W of Tunbridge Wells

A very quiet twisting outcrop in dense trees for most part. The rock here is pretty soft, so pull lightly and lardies keep away. Conservation is an issue here, so please be considerate when climbing and look after the environment please.

Around 80-100 routes, not very many easy ones, and a few really hard classics. The rocks are very broken and vary between dank and forboding bays, to fine little prows that seem deviod of good holds. Most routes have a crux that tends to be a thumping stopper of a move, so it is quite handy to have a bit of strength up your sleeve.

Very nice footpath beneath the rocks that face East in the main. They remain sheltered from the wind, and can stay a bit damp - so when the midges get going in summer - they love it.
