This is one of the best areas in the whole of the Fontainebleau region to get your bouldering fix. The range of boulders is stunning, with big high balls, rambling forest circuits, high mountain views, and quiet sneaky corners. You don't have to be a top boulderer here, because there are some excellent easy circuits of white childrens problems. The yellow problems are not difficult either, but they are on the slightly larger side to give the collywobbles to a few intrepid explorers. It's not a substantial mid range area, but ideal for those who have learn't all the techniques, and are willing to try out their skill on some stiff and daunting challenges. For the strong boulderer, there are literally hundreds of classic problems in the vertical and technical areas. Of the 12 standard circuits, all are technical and all are brilliant. You have to be good to find the good holds on offer and work out ways to use them. For the very high level boulderer, there are some fiendish high balls with fair landings, you will be severly tested. In general, a quiet area when you get away from the boulders near the car parks.
