MONT ROME CHATEAU

A fine group of cliffs on top of a hill with great views south to the Beaujolais area.

All the climbing is quite short, but it really packs a punch and starts with fun and games as you leave the ground - if you can on some of the routes.

Always a popular favourite because it is so differernt to the nearby Cormot. It offers everything differernt and is a nice lift with the open aspect after time spent at Cormot.

The picnic spots on the lush grass at the top of the hill are great for a family lunchtime spot.

The car is only seconds away, so not a bad place to remember if the weather is looking a bit iffy.

Summary: 40 routes, in all grades 4-7b; up to 20m high.
