Bourgogone onsight - Topo Guide GÉLIGNY A very useful cliff in a heatwave. Set in the trees and mostly north facing, this newly developed cliff is a real asset when it gets roastingly hot in the middle of summer. In the winter or after rain it is dire. A good selection of nice slabbly routes for beginners, with excellent opportunity to do 2 pitch introduction climbs. In the 5-6 grades there are some very good routes that have nice gritty textured rock. In the 6c-7a range the cliff is wonderfully vertical and seems a lot steeper. Small, quiet and nice is a fair appraisal. Summary: 34 routes 4-7c with full spread of grades; up to 30m high. (No photo available) |
