Bourgogone onsight - Topo Guide CHAMBOLLE MUSIGNY A very happy pair of cliffs. Our guidebook gives accurate details of the approach path, so please follow this to avoid unneccessary erosion . There are 2 separate cliffs that have a wonderful aspect and superb provencal limestone (in Bourggogne); those wonderful long slots with herbs growing from them, releasing that wonderful thyme aroma as you squeese your fingers into them. It is a short cliff which is a pity, but it is a great day out for the family and has a lovely ambience and view. The harder routes tend to be very short and butch, good for the jingo-strenght style climber. Most of the routes are only 10 metres long, but they still pack a very good punch. Have a good breakfast first. Some of the harder routes are real technical gems. A great place that dries out after rain in an instant. Summary: 61 routes 4-7c full spread of grades; up to 20m high.
