BROCHON

A very peculiar valley this one. Each side is forested quite heavily all the way up and provides a really tranquil approach.

After the 20 minute walk in, you may be dissapointed by the quality of the rock, for it is quite shattered and some of the routes are on the loose side. However, the climbing is quite good and the quiet position is something to treasure.

There is climbing on the North side of the valley, but it has recently been banned since there were a couple of rockfalls, so we do not include these details in our guidebook. The strata of the rock on the northern side will always lean into the valley and make the whole cliff rather prone to instability. On the southern side it tends to lean into the hill and therefore stays up a bit more.

A cliff that is quite popular for grade 3-4 climbers. Access to the top is up a good fun grade 1-2 route.

Summary: 35 routes 4-7c funny spread of grades; up to 30m high.
